The fate of the 52 Suburbs Around the World book is in your hands!
I’ve just hit LAUNCH on the crowd funding site, Pozible, to raise funds to cover the costs of printing and publishing the book.
Please click here to check it out and if you’re keen to make this book happen, pre-order one (two?!) by making a pledge.
I have butterflies doing loops inside me right now – self-publishing and crowd funding is scary I tell you!
But here’s hoping. I happen to have the best blog peeps in the world following me so I reckon we can make this happen.

I’m just curious, though – why self-published? I remember seeing your first book all over the place, including the UNSW bookshop. Did that not go so well?

Thanks Joel! The first book has sold pretty well but this time I want to see if self-publishing is possible basically – and especially if it’s possible doing it the way I’m hoping to do it, by raising the funds first through a pre-ordering set up. Fingers all crossed…

In principle yes (i have last book) but don’t wish to pre order until the final book format is clear ie your previous posts re book size etc.

That’s absolutely fine but just so you know, the book format has been decided on for certain now – it will definitely be 260mm wide by 240mm deep with a hard cover.
